Practices

Held most weekends (weather permitting of course) usually go for 3 hours depending on attendance. Practices are our time to put in the work needed to become world-class horse archers! By far, our most important events. Spectators are free.

We use a combination of ground and mounted practices, allowing archers to focus on improving form as well as shooting from various mounted positions.

We have two registered mounted archery instructors: Stacey Youlios and Sophia Felix, who offer training and expertise at each practice. Our amazing Archery coach, Jim Franson, a level 3 USAArchery coach, uses his years of knowledge and expertise to help fine tune our archery equipment. He also helps us discover our most comfortable mounted archery form and techniques.

Form  and  Bow tuning Sessions

We hold a few special practice sessions (on an as needed basis) specifically to focus on form improvement and to tune members' bows to their arrows or visa versa. If needed we'll suggest different options for arrows and assist in the buying and assembly process.

Arrow clinics & Fletching

Several times a year we offer our members the chance to learn how to make their own arrows!  There is no better feeling than to shoot the arrows you fletched yourself with the color of feathers that stand out to you! Of course, the honorable Jim Franson, will assist you in ordering, materials, and assembly for your arrows.
